Healthy ForeverTM Omega 3

Omega 3 can be obtained sufficiently from eating fish often and/or by taking fish oil supplements like Healthy ForeverTM Omega 3. Fish is particularly rich in beneficial oils known as omega 3 fatty acids, including deep sea fish, salmon, tuna, sturgeon, mullet, bluefish, anchovy, sardines, herring, and trout.

Fish oil is most often used for conditions related to the cardiovascular system, such as lowering blood pressure, decreasing triglyceride levels (fats related to cholesterol), and preventing heart disease or stroke. More and more scientific evidence suggests that fish oil can reduce high blood pressure, high triglycerides and hyperglycemia. It can also help prevent heart disease and stroke when taken in the recommended amounts. Consuming fish oil can be effective for healthy hearts free of heart disease. People who have heart diseases may also be able to lower their risk of mortality from heart disease by eating fish or taking a fish oil supplement.

Fish oil also has a reputation as the food for brain, and many consume fish oil to help fight depression, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and Alzheimer's disease.

Inflammation is reported to be associated with over 90% of known human diseases. Fish oil has been scientifically proven to have anti-inflammation properties and as such has been used to treat diabetes, asthma, developmental coordination disorders, movement disorders, obesity, kidney disease, and weak bones (osteoporosis). Fish oil is also often used after coronary artery bypass surgery.

Two of the most important omega 3 fatty acids contained in fish oil are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Healthy ForeverTM Omega 3 contains 180 mg of EPA and 120 mg of DHA in each softgel.

Nearly everyone can benefit from supplementing Omega 3 daily, but it is especially important if you currently suffer from any of the following:
  • High blood pressure. Fish oil is likely to produce modest reductions in people with high blood pressure. The omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil have been demonstrated to soften blood vessels, and thus reducing blood pressure.
  • High cholesterol. Scientists believe fish oil can lower cholesterol by keeping it from being absorbed in the intestine. There is some evidence that using vitamin B12 along with fish oil boosts their ability to lower cholesterol.
  • Stroke. Frequent consumption of fish or fish oil has been shown to reduce the risk of having a stroke by as much as 27%.
  • Atherosclerosis. Fish oil seems to slow or even slightly reverse the progress of atherosclerosis in the heart arteries (coronary arteries).
  • Rheumatoid arthritis. Fish oil helps people with rheumatoid arthritis get over morning stiffness faster. People taking fish oil can often reduce the use of pain relief medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
